HOSPITAL/MEDICAL ASSOCIATE SALES MANAGER - Phoenix, AZ / Los Angeles, CA/Las Vegas NV

About the Job:

Danard Lilly Corporation has an immediate opening for a Associate Sales Manager Consultant for the Los Angeles, California / Phoenix, AZ / Las Vegas NV area. Candidates must currently reside near one of these major cities (Relocation is not available).

Job Summary:

Associate Sales Manager (ASM) sells to hospitals, medical clinics, chiropractic and physical therapists in assigned territory in accordance with marketing plans, promotional strategies and company policies. ASM markets directly to medical facilities the utilization of Danard Lilly Corporation’s Pain Assessment by working effectively with members of hospital committees, purchasing departments, physicians, chiropractors, and physical therapist. Increases sales of Danard Lilly Corporation’s products and gains market share with the ultimate goal of greater profitability for the organization.

ASM is also responsible for managing sales representatives to maximize Danard Lilly Corporation’s product sales and profits. Position hires, trains and develops sales representatives to insure achievement of sales goals and corporate objectives. ASM communicates regularly with management and marketing personnel to develop strategies aimed at accomplishing corporate sales objectives and routinely communicates with manager on current status of personnel, sales performance, and competitive activity and industry issues. ASM displays leadership and is able to accomplish corporate goals through the management of others.

Sales Performance:

Attains or exceeds quarterly and annually established sales and marketing territory goals and objectives as well as leading direct reports in meeting/exceeding stated sales goals.

Makes regular, personalized sales presentations to staff physicians, doctors, chiropractors, physical therapists and other key personnel to secure product commitment, usage or other predetermined objectives.

Ensures appropriate product representation to gain formulary-approved status of Danard Lilly corporation’s Pain assessment.

Represents Danard Lilly Corporation at key industry and professional meetings and conventions.

Co-travels and coaches 2-4 sales representatives to ensure performance and productivity.

Develops, implements and manages strategic sales direction.

Utilizes sales data information to manage sales performance.

Administrative Duties:

Maintains and utilizes accurate territory records and other control information to effectively organize, plan and manage a sales territory.

Effectively manages product samples and complies with federal guidelines and company policies.

Actively utilizes company sponsored communication tools to aid in territory management.

Strictly adheres to expense guidelines as documented in company handbook.

Administers performance appraisals and development programs.

Completes and delivers post co-travel reports to sales representatives.

Completes assigned administrative tasks.

Effectively leverages the knowledge of Human Resource Department to execute management responsibilities.

Completes quarterly business plans including budget & measures of success.

Executes market research information requests as directed by supervisor.

Performs annual personnel audits and quarterly reviews.

Team Communications & Leadership:

Keeps abreast of competitive activities, trends in therapy through fieldwork, conventions, meetings, literature and attending seminars.

Routinely communicates success stories, competitive information, and relevant ideas in a clear, effective manner to members of sales & marketing team. Recruits, hires and trains high-performing sales representatives.

Effectively leads, motivates and manages direct reports and peers.

Delegates decisively and when appropriate.

Responsible for documenting and communicating counseling and disciplinary actions.

MBO’s & Professional Growth:

Clearly communicates MBO’s and professional growth goals and is responsible for attaining the stated goals.

Assists with the design of programs to ensure personal and professional growth and development.

Utilizes company personnel for advise, constructive criticism and general feedback to create a sense of team and shared learning.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Candidates are required to possess knowledge of the medical/chiropractic/physical therapist// managed care/ business. Position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills are needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as leadership skills are a must. Computer skills required: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be willing to travel and maintain a rigorous schedule.

Education:

Candidates should have a four-year college degree with an emphasis in business or related field; at least 2 years of medical and/or specialty sales and key account experience. Prior management experience is desired.
